How it works

Save a task's tabs in a few steps

Keep related browser tabs together with a workspace name and an optional note, so the next session has a little more context.

1. Open the extension

After installing Afey Tabs in Chrome, open it from the browser toolbar. The first time you open it, a quick-start guide explains the basic workflow.

2. Start a workspace

Select Save current workspace. Afey Tabs shows eligible web tabs from the current browser window for you to choose from.

3. Choose tabs and name the workspace

Select the tabs you want to keep, or choose the option to save all eligible tabs. Add a name and, if useful, a short note about the task, a reminder, or a next step.

4. Save your workspace

Choose Save selected or Save all tabs. Afey Tabs stores the workspace information in Chrome's local storage.

5. Return later

Open Afey Tabs and select Restore on the workspace you want to continue. Its saved web tabs will be opened again. Use Edit note to update your reminder, or delete the workspace if you no longer need it.

6. Export a backup if needed

Use Export to download a JSON backup of saved workspace data. The backup can contain page titles, URLs, workspace names, and notes, so store it somewhere appropriate.

Afey Tabs currently works with eligible HTTP and HTTPS tabs in the current browser window. It does not sync workspaces between devices.
